Inspired by an ongoing drama series call 'Ooku' that airs in japan.
The story is basicly about 'Ooku', a society of specially chosen royal concubines to bear children(diff. from Geisha's), in hopes to continue the family line for the Shogun (ruler of japan in the ancient samurai days) It illustrates the order, hardships, stress, rivalry, and the battle for heirs, in their circle. (Roughly about 200 pple if servants included) They have status but overall, their like a 'tool' to bear children. The drama also illustrates the Christianity bashing of the their times.

Im usually not much to drawing 'olden days japan' but the drama and music that went along with this was too good to miss. (they pic out the best of the best actors for the 'Ooku' series)
